LWV National Convention, June-July 2018, Chicago

I attended the League of Women Voters National Convention in Chicago, June 28 - July 1 2018, representing LWV Los Alamos, NM.

The voting and other official business happened in the plenary sessions, which were, to borrow another delegate's words, appalling. I wrote about that in my blog: LWV National Convention, 2018: Plenary Sessions or: How Sausage is Made

The caucuses were better. Here's a Summary of Caucuses I attended.

• Thursday night Program Session: A Conversation on Redistricting with Nick Stephanopoulos and Ruth Greenwood
• Thursday Caucus: Advocacy Strategies for Our Existing LWV Position to Abolish the Electoral College (not really relevant outside the convention)
• Friday: Redistricting Caucus (very useful!)
• Friday Caucus: Better Single-Winner Voting Methods for a Better Democracy (see the caucus summary, no more to add)
• Saturday: Redistricting Caucus (some good info)
• Sunday: Healthcare Caucus (disappointing)
