Turkey and Deer at Alum Rock

Biking from the trail's end back to our car, we found ourselves surrounded by wild turkeys and deer (some bucks with antlers growing, some fawns just out of their spotted coats).

Earlier in the day, hiking rather than biking, we found the whole park full of frolicsome deer: a few families, and several large groups of youngsters, who chased each other and practiced head-butting even though only a few had as much as spikes, and none had full antlers.
