May 30, 2017, in the spillway pond just below the Los Alamos reservoir dam.
They're roughly 4-5 inches in length. It's possible that this makes them neotenous salamanders from last year, though our local tiger salamanders aren't supposed to be neotenous; our expert isn't sure yet The adults can apparently grow to over 13 inches!
