Burney Falls

We'd been to Burney Falls once before, but it's always worth another look. It's one of the best waterfalls anywhere, and the park is a beautiful little park. Also, the town is a friendly place to stage a trip into the northwest side of Lassen.

The unique character of the falls is due to the porous basalt rock; water seeps through the rock and spills out from all levels of the wall.
