I'd promised myself that for my first (and possibly only) total eclipse, I wasn't going to miss the experience because I was spending too much time fiddling with cameras. So I made a plan for a series of exposures I could make without looking much at the camera. Even so, the brief period of totality went by far too quickly, and I didn't have time to make all the exposures I'd planned. All things considered, I'm very pleased with what I got.
We were set up at a roadside pullout near the centerline on Wyoming 270. Every pullout along the highway had observers parked there, but there was still plenty of room, and it was a friendly group of strangers.
