Paris, Europe 2010: Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower -- probably the world's premier tourist attaction. I hate tourist attractions. It's bound to be annoying and stupid, right?

Well, no, actually. It's quite impressive. I spent quite a while here, climbed to level 2 (my ticket said I supposedly could go to level 4, but I couldn't figure out how to get there short of a huge not-moving-at-all line that said "Top". So I gave up on level 2 and went back down.

The climb really isn't bad. It looks like a long way but it's not as bad as it looks.

The line to buy tickets for the elevator looked very daunting, though. Fortunately there are separate lines for stairs-only tickets, and they're not bad at all.
