Recommendation:
I move that the Board approve the minutes from the August 27, 2026 APP Meeting.

Fire Station #4 Artwork Acquisition Process Discussion
Recommendation:
I move that the Art in Public Places Board recommend that County Council, to allow the
County and State to pool funding resources for acquiring the Fire Station #4 Public
Artwork, approve using the Stateâs artist-selection process for the artwork, to include
delegating Council's artist-selection authority to the Local Selection Committee formed
specifically for this project. I further move that the Board recommend that Council
authorize an expenditure from the Countyâs Art in Public Places Fund not to exceed
$______ plus applicable Gross Receipts Tax, to be supplemented with a minimum of
$20,000 in State funds as a result of using the State's artist-selection process, to fund
the purchase, installation, plaque, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and contingency expenses
for the Fire Station #4 artwork.

Recommendation:
I move that the Art in Public Places Board accept the updated Deaccession Policy to be
incorporated into the Art in Public Places Policies and Guidelines and recommend that
County Council approve the updated Deaccession Policy as presented.
