Approval of Minutes from the Los Alamos County Health Council Meeting
on October 1,2026

Presentation from Lloyd and Associates and the Los Alamos County
Department of Public Works on the possible Community Health Action
Center site locations.
Discussion and possible action to recommend that an Ordinance be
approved by the Los Alamos County Council to reduce the number of the
Los Alamos County Health Councilors from 15 to 11 active Health
Councilors. This reduction would occur through attrition as members either
complete their final consecutive term or resign from their position. This will
exclude existing Health Councilors, who can re-apply for additional terms
for which they are eligible. When the number of Health Councilors naturally
reaches 11, no new members will be appointed beyond this number.

Discussion and possible action to recommend that an Ordinance be
approved by the Los Alamos County Council for the Los Alamos Health
Council members to transition to a once-yearly onboarding rotation,
beginning annually in June. There will be an open application period from
June 1 to June 30, interviews and recommendations for appointments will
occur in July, and terms will begin upon appointment by the Los Alamos
County Council and run for two years. This will exclude existing Health
Councilors, who can re-apply for additional terms for which they are
eligible. When a vacancy occurs, the position will remain open until June
and applications will be accepted at that time.
