My observing report

As I drove up the winding road to Fremont Peak State Park, I idly mused upon the morality of TAC as I contemplated the past week of rain. When I arrived at the parking lot, it was filled with friends eager for a night's observing. I counted at least 9 telescopes set up.

I started my night's observing with one of my favorite objects, M 21. It would be easy to confuse with the eye of God. After I'd spent a few minutes looking at that, I sketched B 69 in Perseus. It looked exactly like fleecy wool. After that, I identified IC 1919. It appeared in the eyepiece like the eye of God. With that checked off my list, I studied IC 2144. It gave the appearance of R2-D2. Next, attacking my personal nemesis, I found by accident Abell 66 in the western sky. It reminded me of lumpy darkness. Next, I sought M 35. It reminded me of blackness. After that, I tried IC 1750. It somewhat resembled whipped cream. After that, I sketched NGC 2969. It looked like a swarm of bees.

Finally, it was time to pack up and leave. As I drove home, I contemplated the events of the night, and realized that any night out under the sky with good friends is better than fetid Dingo's kidneys.
